KYC & AML Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-07
Ora Games is committed to preventing fraud, money laundering, and underage play. This Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy explains the identity checks we may perform and the documents you may be asked to provide.
1. Why we verify
Verification protects your account, confirms you meet our eligibility requirements, and helps us comply with applicable law. You can create an account and start playing with no upfront forms — but verification may be required before certain actions, most commonly before a redemption (withdrawal) is approved.
2. When verification is required
- Before your first redemption, or when a redemption exceeds our review threshold.
- When unusual, high-risk, or potentially fraudulent activity is detected on an account.
- To confirm you are at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority where you reside).
- Where required to meet a legal, regulatory, or payment-provider obligation.
3. Documents we may request
- Proof of identity — a clear photo of a valid government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license, or national ID).
- Proof of address — a recent utility bill or bank statement (issued within the last 3 months) showing your name and address.
- Proof of payment — where a deposit method needs confirming, a redacted image of the instrument used (never the full card number).
- A short selfie or liveness check to confirm the ID belongs to you.
4. How your documents are handled
Documents are used solely for verification and compliance. They are stored securely, access is restricted to authorized staff, and they are retained only as long as required for compliance, then deleted. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your personal data.
5. Anti-Money Laundering
We monitor account activity for patterns consistent with money laundering or fraud. We may request the source of funds, place a hold on an account pending review, decline a transaction, or report activity to the relevant authorities where legally required. Attempting to use the platform to launder funds, or providing false information, will result in account closure and forfeiture of balances obtained through fraud.
6. Multiple accounts
Each person may hold one account. Accounts sharing identity, payment, or device/IP signals may be reviewed and restricted. Bonuses and promotional credit obtained through duplicate accounts may be voided.
7. Failed or incomplete verification
If we cannot verify your identity, or the information provided does not match your account, we may suspend redemptions and, where necessary, close the account. Funds legitimately deposited (less any amounts already played) are returned through the original payment method where possible.
